Easy trick here (for recreational/social activities especially):If it is going to cause you stress the whole time and make you question yourself over & over whether it was a good choice, don't go.Don't do something that doesn't feel safe to you, because you will not have fun.You don't have to do a complicated analysis.

@Ricardus I'm starting to see how Content Warnings can function for more than just basic triggers.It's nice to know if I'm posting a lot about a topic, I can slap a label on it & people who follow me can choose if they want to engage or not. Started putting a lot of my stuff about the Great Twitter Migration behind a cw, and I feel less like I'm shouting over and over at people about stuff.Also seen people using it to I guess label a post with a topic for boosting. It's a cool functionality.

Most social media is formatted to encourage you to make "content" that people will interact with, regardless of whether it's really what you want to communicate, even if you're not trying to be an influencer or promote something.I've been realizing how much that shaped what I was doing & saying. How many of my choices of what to say & how to say it were to get people to react. I wasn't doing it on purpose. It's just what everything on Twitter pushes you to do.

It's fucking bullshit that landlords can price buyers out of the housing market and then turn around and have renters literally pay off the mortgage on the house that the landlord prevented them from buying. The renters still buy the house...they just don't get to own it.Like, I don't care what your views on "economics" are, that's obviously abominable.
