       I just realised something I love about #mastodon There are not many corporate accounts (yet). No big corporations that use snarky and 'hip' community managers to create engagement and finally, sell me shit.It's people. Weird, odd, banal, boring, interesting....people.

       @paprika It was. I worded that toot slightly wrong. What I meant was more along the lines that once you actually notice the absence, you realise what was fun about social media years ago.

       @coffeepine Yeah, it really is something. Getting things tailored to you at all times is good for engagement, but not for enjoyment or growth. Here, peace and quiet. We get to talk to eachother undisturbed. I even get to have my little piece of the network!

       @coffeepine This is true. I did get ONE "company" that signed up for my instance. I'm fine with that. They are a microphone company, and I'm all for tools for music. As long as they don't flood the local timeline with ads it's fine.
