It is really irritating how many Americans now have to connect the events in Brazil with their country. Jeez, you guys really need to get over yourselves. What's happening is simply the failure of capitalism as glue for societies. The greed of a few has driven the system to near collapse and it was never sustainable in the first place.And the profiteers now simply align with the one movement that is tailored to them - fascism.Nothing profoundly American about that.

@ParadeGrotesque That's why I consequently try and watch movies in their original language, and read books if possible in English (unless they are by German authors).The synchronisation of movies into German has gotten so bad that I realise the translation errors WITHOUT knowing the original.

Curating your feed is really that simple.I hang out and interact. If I had a fun interaction, I just skim the profile of the person and add if there is nothing stupid at first glance. Then I go about my tooting.Every now and then I realise in my home feed that some people's posts annoy me, so I make short work and unfollow them again.And over time, et voila, a curated feed.It's really not rocket science. Why some people need algorithms to tell them what they like is beyond me.

@tux0r Ich versuche Leuten zu erklären, dass ich gefühlt aus dem Stand vier Versionen von 'Brandenburgern' nennen kann und das gefühlt 80% der Brandenburger ihrer Identität berauben würde.Aber Leute im 'Westen' finden das Narrativ von demokratiefeindlichen Ossi halt verführerisch, weil man dann nicht über echte Ursachen nachdenken muss.Jedesmal ein verbaler Schlag aufs Maul von ostdeutschen Antifaschisten, die einfach mitabgewatscht werden.
