NPR did a report on the changing climate, but really treated the topic with kid gloves, lest they piss off their corporate sponsors.I am not a climate scientist, but it seems pretty clear to me as someone who used to live in the snow belt (lake effect snow regions east of big lakes) that in the not-too-distant-future those areas will be uninhabitable in winter. Snow removal simply won't be able to keep up.

@Ricardus i used to rely on NPR heavily for news and info, but not for a few years now. it’s almost nefarious. Fox News and the like have a blatant bias. NPR and NYT put up a front of serious and professional reporting, but ultimately serve the same corporate overlords. hell, the Koch brothers sponsor NPR.

@skaficianado Exactly. NPR does stories pretending to look at WHY people are working 3 jobs and can't afford to live, but they won't ever dare question the inequities of the economic system.

@skaficianado I have a friend who works for a high-end audio integration company in NY City, and he has been in the same room with the surviving Koch brother working on an installation. No big shock but he was an asshole to my friend.
