since 3h, mc mirror does "something" with network but no verbose request is logged and the filecount on the target is not changing anymore... very similar behavior to #rclone which on top died last night from oom. if i'd restart the mirror, it would add to the target again but not remove. hm. frustrating. #minio

@milan in those cases, I tend to use lsof to see if there is any I/O on the files that it works on (or temporary files)

@milan aww. Good luck then.I am really sad that S3 and the like are often cheaper than "normal", self administrated, blockstorage.Additional harddrives for root servers are really expensive :(

@satan actually not sure... big drives are not so cheap and will need replacements ... on the other hand... if they last a few years ... but then there is the network connection problem @brot

@satan @milan after several questionable experiences with hosters during my youth, i tend to stick with ones which i know will have good support and products.I would rather search for a reasonable priced colocation service and just stuff two servers in two locations. Since the abdundance of PCI-E on AMD Servers even for the cheap CPUs, selfmade storage-servers got cheap :)

@brot@social.tchncs.de I prefer colo aswell, for me - it is cheaper in the long run. However, I dont have access to a datacenter nearby anymore :(@milan@social.tchncs.de
