       @thenewoil Opted out of a gate scan on my recent American Airlines flight. Not sure if it was AA or TSA. It was not related to an ID match check, just a boarding pass check at the gate.The camera operator was miffed, but his co-worker was very pleasant about it.He asked her, “When will this be mandatory and people can’t opt out.”She said, “lt won’t be mandatory.”Hope she was correct
