       @XSFleaBaggage @quinta @mmasnick it wouldn't just be about the fine in the EU. If Musk considered the fine worth it, and carried on in the same way, Twitter could end up banned/blocked. That would be much worse for Musk's finances.

       @localzuk @XSFleaBaggage @mmasnick a recent decision by the Europan data protection board has established that personalized ads can only be run with user consent.https://blog.quintarelli.it/2022/12/noyb-win-personalized-ads-on-facebook-instagram-and-whatsapp-declared-illegal/if something is illegal, it's not illegal just selling it, but also buying it (unless explicitly allowed)...  so don't expect too many customers from the EU...
