       I'm way too old to be doing this shit. But I'm doing it anyway.Last week I took delivery of a newborn baby. Yes, he is white. He is a foster. Mom and dad are junkies and go in and out of jail/rehab. Baby was born high and had to go through detox before they let him out of the hospital.Part of me wants to say that these could've been good people who were just badly treated by the system, that under ARE REGIME they'd be productive members of society. Maybe. I don't know. I go back and forth. I tend to lean towards the "heroin addicts were already scum anyway" side but I know people get uptight about that and I admit I could be wrong. Just how I see things from my experience.I will say this: if a woman has a baby, and she has drugs in her and the baby had drugs in him ... swift trial and a speedy execution after having the opportunity to make a last Confession and accept Christ.I'm willing to hear arguments for "dragged outside and shot" but I think this is a good compromise. Anyway, the last few days have been hard on everyone, my two children, me, even my wife who as much as she is enjoying going back to Babyland is still too old for this shit. I just hope we're doing some good. I don't know. You have to wait years to find out. The money is nice and you get some small benefits. Gonna get him WIC for example, that's a help. I get paternity leave again so that's nice, thanks homos. I'm exhausted and it's making my migraines act up when they were just fine before, but maybe it's my calling. Can't say for sure. I'd appreciate prayers. Chicken has had a hard time but is coming around. My son, who still needs a nickname, seems to really enjoy the baby when he notices it's around in between running around the house making tiger noises and trying to destroy everything. He calls it "my baby" and fusses over it in a very cute way.Be careful what you pray for. God does not just bequeath you gifts. He makes you earn them. He is the embodiment of justice, after all. I asked for strength. I'm getting the ultimate workout.
