Debian and Devuan are getting worse and worse.Every time I update PHP, it automagically installs Apache2 against my will, even though Nginx is already installed and running. Also, while logged in as root:# rc-service nginx statuszsh: command not found: rc-service# nginx --helpzsh: command not found: nginx# sudo rc-service nginx statusnginx is running.# sudo nginx --helpnginx: invalid option: "-"FUCK!!

@ryo debian is fine, the systemd hating fork isn't. this is likely because systemd solved a real problem in the init space as an init that is just a shell script was in fact the biggest pain point in the package management process. now you see why.

@ryo Going to have to download the package and customize it before installing just to remove a dependency that isn't a dependency. Isn't that great?

@jeff Then why is this problem exclusively to Debian (which is pro-SoystemD) and Devuan (the anti-SoystemD fork)? And why don't any of these problems happen at all in Artix, Void Linux, OpenBSD, and FreeBSD, which are all distro's and OS's without SoystemD?Looks like you didn't even take the time to read what I even said.

@TerminalAutism I already did, and it's 2 commands, because you will need to run "apt autoremove" after removing Apache. But still doesn't solve the problem, because I have to remove it every single time PHP gets a new version...

@ryo If autoremove removes it, then it must not be a dependency, so why does it get installed automatically? Debian....
