@Wolven @michaelgemar @davidgerard Yes, there's a long historical association art, medical science and politics between technofuturism and eugenics. It's inevitable because it's about "perfecting" and "purifying" bodies and this idea itself is tied into White supremacy (via both religion and science). Ideas of purity and perfection, especially around bodies, are always a feature of fascism.

@fifilamoura @Wolven @michaelgemar @davidgerard I would posit that transhumanism is incomplete without queer liberation. This includes furries, who are by our very premise so ridiculously weird that any notions of ideological purity will fail to entrap most of us. (Though the fash *do* try.)Well-intended folks exploring these ideas should celebrate weirdness, even when someone's weirdness is mellow, while always opposing any notions of tradition or hierarchy.

@fifilamoura @Wolven @michaelgemar @davidgerard (I emphasize mellow weirdness because of some SV personalities I've met in tech, whom conflate consumption with hobbies, and try to typecast themselves as eccentric and quirky when they're the most vanilla cheesecake factory bastards.)
