You can block/mute/defederate, but you can't force them to behave the way you want. It would behoove you to learn how the fediverse functions and how it differs from twitter before you opine about how to improve it. So I gave it a try: I looked at the hashtag feeds for writing, art, horror, scifi, and other interests. Every single result was some newcomer making an #introduction post while offering no content on the topic of the hashtag. Then I decided to just write and interact normally and have been having a great time since. Yesterday I checked some reasonable hashtags again, and it's #introduction posts all over again.
