Also elegant fallback is your friend and mine. Even for an elaborate app shoehorned into a web browser, I still want to be able to read the text, click the links, see any images, and play audio/ video, with JavaScript off. I have it on good authority that you can even do hamburger menus without JS. There are still children out there using the net at dial-up speed. Your JS monstrosity takes half an hour to load for them. Won't somebody think of the children!#MakeJavaScriptOptional

@humbird0It just horrifies me how wasteful so many websites are. I've been looking at hostel websites today. All of them outsource their bookings to other services, so they're literally just text and images. Yet every single one of them requires JS - and usually from at least one third-party domain as well as the primary domain - just took display the pages readably #FacePalm

@strypey I think my favorite example is imgur can't display a simple <img> tag without JavaScript.imgur... you had ONE job!
