Has anyone using Metatext noticed it being kinda laggy both with scroll/pull interactions and with text input? I thought it was my server but using a different app seems fairly smooth.

Of the others I’ve tried:- tooot has too much white space and only shows like two posts per screens, and also shows like/boost numbers in the TL- Mast won’t let you interact with a post from the TL, you have to 3D push or click in- Toot! has extremely distracting conversation thread lines- the official one doesn’t support reading your local timeline or reading alt text on photos- Tootle’s pop-over UI interactions drives me crazywhat am I missing?

omg okay no my current recommendation is the Tusker beta. it collapses notifications for the same post/action correctly, which no other app seems to have figured out yet, lets you follow other local timeline like Mast, lets you hide boost/fav counts and turn infinite scrolling on and off, and actually makes good use of space. the UI is a little rough but it has more features than just about anything else I’ve tried. https://testflight.apple.com/join/wtB7HYvG

@shadowfacts I’ve been testing this out over the last day and I love this! It has some rough edges and the main TL was buggy but a lot of the design choices are A+

@shadowfacts @phire Thanks for the pointer to Tusk.Looks nice but am I correct in my understanding that Tusker doesn't to APNS, meaning no notifications?

@ixs It does not do push notifications, no. Whether or how to support them is still an open question
