@nobushia DS9 is the best Star Trek out there, particularily after the first season. Epic, semi-serialized storytelling that focuses on character rather than alien-of-the-week. It's a fantastic show.#startrek #ds9 #deepspace9

@nobushia Do it! It's amazing. I love all of it, but some people think the first 3 seasons or so are slow. Stick with it!

@nobushia DS9 is my favorite of the pre-Paramount+ era, and possibly still my favorite of them all. Definitely worth a look! Also, I haven't been here long so you're the first web developer I've interacted with. Nice to cross paths. 🙂 #StarTrek

@nobushia It is probably my favorite of the classic Star Trek series! Very worth watching imo. First season is a bit rough around the edges, but still enjoyable. Gets better from there.

@nobushia DS9 is the best TrekThe first seasons have their rough eps, but in the end it strikes the best balance of utopianism and realism. It's a world that's more moral than ours (unlike the nuTrek grimdark shit) but where moral compromise is still necessary#startrek #ds9

@nobushia I watched a few episodes, but I could never get into it. The Next Generation remains my favorite.

@nobushia Absolutely do it! Arguably one of the better entries in the franchise. Because the story is set in a static place (a Space Station), the stories become more personal, rather than "monster of the week". It's nice to spend more time learning about the characters, their motivations and respective histories. It's a good series.

@nobushia I was in the same boat, up until a few months ago. I'm up to season 5, and it's been really good so far. I'm following this list, so that I don't have to work my way through all the episodes. https://mashable.com/article/star-trek-deep-space-nine-condensed-how-to-watch-the-most-story-driven-trek-1613741

@nobushia DS9 is actually my favorite. It's not as consistent as TNG. There are definitely several clunkers the the first couple of seasons (and a few later), but the best episodes are up there with anything from TOS.

@nobushia Not much.of a Star Trek fan but it looks like one of the more interesting of the ST series to me. Would either watch Next Generation or DS9 if it were me.

@nobushia It's been my favourite Trek for over 25 years! It has some great episodes and characters, with a rich secondary cast. It has continuing storylines, but not *exclusively* so -- it's sort of a bridge between episodic and the all-one-storyline model. There are a couple of episodes that never fail to make me weep.

@nobushia I hated it when I first saw it.That was many years ago however, so maybe I might find it more enjoyable as an adult. It is definitely an oddball inside the star trek sphere, since it is about a space station instead of a ship of exploration.

@nobushiaI never watched it when it aired either. I think I watched the first episode. It didn't feel like Star Trek to me, because they weren't actually trekking anywhere. I mean, Kirk and Picard were explorers, but Sisko was running a gas station.I eventually gave it a try several years ago, and boy am I glad I did. I'm disappointed I missed out on it when it first aired.

@nobushia Deep Space Nine is a fantastic show, one of #StarTrek's best! It's a slow burn but absolutely worth it. Keep an eye out for Duet. It's a season one episode and a real stand-out.

@nobushia If you like long running stories about characters whose entire lives you learn, this is for you. I appreciated it a great deal and still miss Quark most of all.

@nobushia it was my least favorite as a kid because I thought it was too serious, but I love it now.
