       When I left Twitter for Mastodon, I was disappointed how white it is here. I stayed because I believed, in time, Twitter would fail and some alternative would emerge. It’s *finally* becoming less white here. People of Color are arriving in droves, including personal friends and creators I followed on other media. Y’all: we can’t mess this up. Don’t clutch pearls or hold up sacred cows. White monoculture is problematic, sure. But it’s also boring as hell.I’m here for a more alive Mastodon.

       @mike I find monoculture much more interesting than diversity.You can actually talk about real issues that way.Diversity is just constant distraction with the irrelevant.Then again, I don't do an age/race/sex check on the people I reply to.
