       I miss #SecondLife. Can we have an open source virtual world game that lets people share stuff, and doesn't force you to pay rent to Linden Labs, if you run your own server? That's all I want really:1. Share stuff2. No single landlord of everything in the entire universe collecting actual payments in actual money forever

       @Rainwolf OpenSimulator is p. cool. My biggest problem is the client, these days. Linden Labs introduced a proprietary physics engine and... nobody really dealt with that. Combined with the compatability nightmare that is C++, I couldn't get a client to compile. I could run a binary client but... then it's not open source anymore.

       @cy  yeah the original version of High Fidelity died a couple of years ago so that's probably why  you haven't heard of it and hope your exploration goes well
