@killyourfm As a Dad of 2 I'm using the extra holiday day to get ahead on the household chores while the wife is out shopping. I have a new set of my favourite audio drama to keep me company though (Star Cops from Big Finish Productions)

@killyourfm Good morning! :)I've slept 2 hours after all the Twitter news and some amazing streams on Twitch but it's a Friday and I'm still waiting on the backend team of our company to do a Production release so I will probably also chill all day, trying to help new people here and enjoying the cosy vibes. :)Probably a nap after work and beers with friends later. :)

@daevien I'll say this about the book. So far (I'm only up to Chapter 3), there have been so many facts and stories and insights I was unaware of -- and I'm a diehard Pearl Jam fan from before they were even Pearl Jam. It's fantastic thus far.

@killyourfm Very nice. Trying to get back into reading more again, gone through stages the last like 4 years where I read a ton for a while and then barely do. Want to try and even that out a little bit.Seems like a good book to start with, thanks :)

@killyourfm Working today but have a free house this weekend as the kids and wife are away. So hoping for some lovely quietness followed by having some friends around for drinks and board games.Gin and I are sworn enemies so I'll stick to the whisky I think. Have a lovely Glenfiddich I need to tuck into and if I'm feeling spicy I'll get the Laphroaig out.

@killyourfm oh and also I highly recommend Runnin' with the Devil by Noel E Monk about his time managing Van Halen. You've heard they were a wild band right? Well let's just say they were a hell of a lot wilder (and surprisingly a lot savvier) than you've heard. Brilliantly entertaining book.

@Faz YES! that was an engrossing and slightly disturbing read. I devoured it in 3 sittings last year. It left with a slightly bitter taste in my mouth about Eddie Van Halen, though, which I wasn't expecting. Related: I tried getting through Dirt (Motley Crue), but it was actually TOO raunchy for me to handle. Maybe I'll revisit it someday.

@killyourfm I can recommend Duff McKagan’s autobiography Its So Easy. Actually a really good read. He’s really open and honest in it and considerably less salacious then a lot of rock n roll autobiographies.

@killyourfm taking out the weeds and planting is really cathartic.I've beena tech head an all my life but I'm now trying to get more in touch with nature, albeit the farming one 😃
