A question I’ve not answered for myself yet: with the fediverse/ActivityPub-compatible services, is it better to use one account and encourage federated folks on other instances to follow your one account, or to use separate accounts on separate services?Originally, I thought it made sense to e.g. replace Twitter with Mastodon and Instagram with Pixelfed, but should I just share photos on Mastodon? The photo-centric UI of Pixelfed is nice, but then it feels weird to have two separate accounts.

@cassidyjames You might be able to use the pixelfed frontend with Mastodon somehow, but in some ways it's better to have separate accounts for different interests.

@cassidyjames Really just depends on if you do *thing* enough that it'll be with it to do...

@cassidyjames that's what I've been asking too. I've had this account since 2019 on the Linuxrocks server. That said, is it worth making a separate one for pixelfed? Do you access both your accounts from the Mastodon app?
