Found strange thing on at least some of #Android... flavours? Not sure if it is good word. I frequently have to help non-tech family members with their devices. Today I could see that deleting images on Realme #phone via $their_gallery_app didn't affect used/free storage on device. For actually freeing #storage deleting via file manager was necessary. Seems almost like Android users actually CANNOT forget the idea of #files in folders :blobcatsweatflips:## For comparison I deleted photo via Gallery app on my Samsung with LineageOS and it Just Works™

@madargon Ive seen gallery apps that have their own trashbin function. Some of them them keep the files in the same folder but put a . at the front of the file name so its default hidden from some gallery and file manager apps.

@dazinism That phone has also equivalent of trashbin in its file manager, working similarly to trashbin in PC. It's for things removed via file manager and it says it would permanently delete everything inside it after 30 days.
