🔩 New server operation 🔨 13th November 2022 we are planning to deploy new database server. This means throughout the day you may notice short downtime of some services as we migrate data to the new server. We plan to do it service by service which will lower the impact on availability. Unfortunately Nextcloud service because of it's size which will take a considerable amount of time (could be hours). We will keep you posted!

So having a small setback while doing last tests preparing to pack server and head to the datacenter. Actually very happy I found the issue now and not when stressing in the datacenter. I do want to take it easy and give myself freedom to pull the plug and cancel the operation without causing downtime but at the same time not causing me to go totally crazy, stressful mode. Hopefully I will be back on track and can send another update.

We name servers in memory of our or our friend’s dead pets. This server is called Ross. It was a bunny of my daughter that died last year eaten by a night animal.

Server is up and running all tasks requiring presence in the datacenter are done. @muppeth is heading home and we will start migrating databases to new baby. Since we managed to figure out setup that allows us to take it a bit more easy, we will take our time and migrate within next day or two.
