Here's a question - why is it that if I want to buy any product in the UK, from a book to a carpet, I simply go on the seller's website and use my bank card to buy from them directly? So why do we have to use third party platforms like Eventbrite for events like this? If it's about getting an indicator of numbers when you have limited space, I get that, but buying a ticket direct from the organising venue will give that indicator anyway! It's a mystery to me!https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11412263/Lawyer-plans-sue-ticket-selling-giant-Eventbrite-pulling-tickets-trans-debate.html

@ArtistBristol Even when you go directly to a company’s website, they will usually use third-party software to handle the financial transaction. (Sometimes this is explicit at the time of purchase, other times it’s hidden from the customer).

@ArtistBristol Eventbrite is such a stalker, too; I hate buying anything on it.Emails for days...No idea why anyone uses it!Just like MK did for 4W, ALL WOMEN should at least try to set-up their own sites with their own payment methods - and intense back-end security.
