There were discussions way back in the 70s, IIRC.Re. the reluctance on the part of the Dems to codify this in law, I’ve detected a distinct hint of “Nice abortion rights you’ve got there… be a shame if anything happened to them (if you didn’t vote for us).”

@HebrideanHecate Sadly this doesn’t surprise me, nor is it new.When I lived in roughly that neck of the woods 20 odd years ago, it felt like Beirut. I saw teens with huge, illegally imported rockets, firing them horizontally down the streets like shoulder launched rocket grenades. It went on for a month in the run up to bonfire night. We used to have screw our letterboxes shut.
