@jamesalegria I think it depends on the company! When I worked in a big global corporation, I often encountered people who didn’t know what my job was or how I could be helpful. I would sometimes come in on a piece of work too late, when it would have been useful for someone to advocate to the end users early on. Now I work in software company with a big focus on design. I’m pulled into conversations more often than I’m missed out in them! It’s refreshing to be more involved in decisions.

@chriswood Speaking as someone who works in a big global conglomerate ‘corp - I have experienced this all too often 😭Changing the culture to be more design mature is a long journey. I’m glad you’ve landed somewhere that values your expertise and understands design.
