       📈 Donations through Liberapay have jumped up a bit this week, as hundreds of you have started financially supporting the Mastodon and other Fediverse instances you have accounts on. As a result, we've reached new all-time highs: the number of accounts actively giving or receiving money through Liberapay has crossed the 10k threshold, and the weekly sum of active donations has risen above €15k.

       @Liberapay I have a minor UX tip: the fee warnings on checkout a very intimidating. Maybe this could be spun around in a more positive way like "best value" or instead of "high/low fees" or hide it away in general. I was doing a quick checkout last time during my lunch break and hesitated to click the pay button because of all of the fee warnings that I didn't have time to investigate and just turned me off.

       @Liberapay I wanted to use LiberaPay to support my mastodon instance, but it doesn't support 2FA that for me is a big showstopper, especially since we are speaking about money. Is this on the roadmap?

       @marcofanti89 I expect that 2FA will be implemented at some point, but I'm not planning to work on it in the near future.Ticket: https://github.com/liberapay/liberapay.com/issues/926Reminders:- The probability of an attacker accessing your account is very low if you follow the recommendation of using a password manager, such that your password is random and not used anywhere else.- It's possible to skip setting a password, so that your account can only be accessed by logging in via email.
