@anniemo71 I try to buy #books independent sellers when I see them. Unfortunately none near me. Otherwise direct if I can or from Blackwell's.I do have an excess of books* so donate to charity shops and secondhand bookstores. I also gave some animation books to the library as they were having a animation workshop in the summer. Sold a few via eBay.*Yeh, I know, seems unlikely, but have been collecting for some time and my interests have changed.

@anniemo71 I buy my books from our local independent bookshop, and charity shops. Occasionally I will buy from second hand bookshops but I find myself overwhelmed with the numbers of books, and often the lack of organisation.Ebay is also good but some sellers over inflate the value.I won't use Amazon unless a client leave me no option for project parts.

@anniemo71 When people on Social Media suggest interesting books, I see if my city's library has it, or the next city. I'll put it on hold. If they don't have it, I might ask them to buy it.Both books you mention are in my neighbouring city's collection. Hooray! Thanks for the recommendation. But I will borrow books by local authors, even if I don't read them, to help create demand. I have used Booktopia when I really need it.Never Amazon. But here for browsing:https://www.archivesfinebooks.com.au/

@anniemo71 i love bookshops, especially secondhand bookshops. There’s a brilliant one in Llangollen, above a bistro, on the first floor. Go up the stairs, and it opens out into a huge space. But if I see a bookshop, I almost always go in. Also like libraries (one is 5 minutes walk from where I live). Don’t buy books from Amazon, but bought many from Apple books (including audiobooks). Sometimes go to a Welsh bookshop not far from me too.
