       While mastodon.el is pretty good, it suffers from a common Emacs mode downside: network communication blocks Emacs.  Not all modes have this property, but I guess something about Emacs' design makes it tricky to avoid.  This is mostly a problem because freeradical.zone is a bit sluggish these days.

       @athas I hope we’ve gotten better! We’re a lot better situated to handle traffic spikes now.
