       @BrodieOnLinux first, indeed I think the community is in the right. Once you get behind the wall of corporations, community input becomes less and less relevant, till it'll become a true corporation, with specific vibes. For example, see canonical, especially snap and all that. In any case, that doesn't really bug me that much, since as long as I can host it on my server, it's fine with me.

       @BrodieOnLinux Great video, you're spot-on. I do have two remarks:Every owner is equal, no main or assistant owner. Even though one could make the argument that lunny is the main owner due to being the owner throughout the history. The blog post didn't address or mention the open letter, it was an "clarification", but that can be seen as an indirectly addressing the open letter.Source: I'm part of the team that wrote the open letter & ex-Gitea maintainer(https://pad.gusted.xyz/VL2dufhjQKi8a2OPm7Y8NQ#)

       @Gusted If that's the case then the github is wrong, as stated on the github "Since Gitea is a pure community organization without any company support, to keep the development healthy we will elect three owners every year. All contributors may vote to elect up to three candidates, one of which will be the main owner, and the other two the assistant owners." https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#owners

       @Gusted I'd argue the timing and talking about community feedback is an indirect way of responding.

       @BrodieOnLinux I stand corrected; I'm not sure how I missed that. However, as a Gitea maintainer, I don't believe this has ever been translated into practical terms for the elected owners.

       @BrodieOnLinux It's officially documented in [the README's first FAQ](https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/blame/main/README.md#L160).
