Is it just me or are a lot of these Twitter refugees climate retards? We joke about trannies and that but... from what I've seen most of the new Mastodongs mostly normal sex-wise but have a big chip on their shoulder about climate change.Is this part of the billionaire wars? Her dream was to git gud at permaculture and to own land to have her own homesteading plot/hippie commune. I'd gotten a chance to drive a Toyota Prius and I really liked it and I thought I'd bring it up with her because I thought she might have been impressed and maybe I actually would consider buying a Prius. But... she wasn't. She brought up that hybrids do nothing. That the emissions from manufacturing them also pollute. And all these other arguments that could be summarized as making the perfect the enemy of the good.After a bit of arguing and me just wanting to reach detente with her I just said that it was still an improvement over normal cars and that growing that market means more funding for research and development into clean, green technology. And she conceded that. But that was beside the point. The -point- is that we shouldn't live the way we do to begin with. We shouldn't have cars or roads or the society we have. That's not to say we should have live in "walkable cities either." We shouldn't have cities. @PonyPanda The climate issue strikes a chord with a lot of people. Hell, even for me, and I'm definitely nowhere near the left. I have a more blackpilled outlook than them (human progress means natural resources being used up is inevitable if nothing changes, it's not just 'muh capitalism') but I can kind of see where they are coming from. Naturally, though, people on that side of the aisle take any possibility to do something that 'feels good', usually via 'activism', to the extreme. So it's an issue that gets way more sympathy from normies over something like censoring free speech to protect muh feelings. That's my benefit of the doubt take, at least.
