Time for bed. I look forward to waking up at 5am to another 100+ registration requests 🤪

@james 1.14k active people is an impressive number and as a fellow rubyist I'm cheering for the success of ruby.social ❤️ but also, please let me ask a humble question. Is really a high number per instance a goal to seek? Would it be considered a success? Maybe, in order to avoid implosion, we should look for ways to distribute the community (without losing the relationships and discoverability already built) as soon as the active people count in an instance reaches an high threshold?

@olistik it's certainly not an explicit goal! 😄I review every registration here, and without being exclusionary, everyone does need to demonstrate they are a real and thoughtful person. I think that will go a decent way to avoiding any implosion in the near future.I think the first step should be getting people comfortable with the #fediverse, whatever server they join. After that, help them find the best community (or sub-community) for them and make any migration as seamless as possible.

@olistik if anyone decides that ruby.social isn't quite the right server for them, as long as they haven't had a _bad_ experience here then I think we've done our job well.
