Tiny Homes are getting so ridiculously priced. What started as 50-100k is kow almost 300k for some.

Kind of feel they miss the point when they are getting that ridiculous. They were born out of necessity and minimisation.

@amscraig the whole TikTok influencer culture of tiny homes is one of those "you gotta be rich to do minimalism" things I reckon.

@amscraigI think tiny homes are still a viable option in situations where a community can work together on a build-your-own strategy, a la Habitat for Humanity. You need a building space with the necessary tools, at least one person with relevant building skills who's willing to run workshops and oversee builds. Bulk buying of materials and maybe financing for that helps too. Maybe also places for papa kāinga of tiny homes when they're finished.@dznz #SocialHousing #TinyHome #PapaKāinga
