My re: #introduction to Mastodon (on new instance now) is that I am Amber. Grew up in Wellington and worked heavily in the IT corporate space. Gave it all up to come home to the Wairarapa where I have travelled across this whenua hunting out the stories of my #Māori tīpuna. I am pretty staunch about #LandBack and other kaupapa to see our whenua, awa and āngi return to rightful hands to restore Papatūānuku. As well as restoring our mātauranga with technology and innovation.

I created tewharehangahanga.nz from my kaumātua stories of mamae and moemoeā, and from there we created Raweke Rākau (rawekerakau.nz) from there. I do mahi for our taiao team at Rangitāne o Wairarapa and spend the rest of my time on kaupapa that matter to our whānau on the ground. #indigenous for life.

I have been on my own journey working through how we try to decolonise our bodies in this colonised world. Raising my pēpi (and soon to be ngā pēpi) into this mahi - because let's be honest our lives are political and our existence is continuously questioned or threatened with every policy or legislation change. But ensuring they NEVER lose their connection to their tīpuna.

Just another #indigenous post for our cousins across the sea.I am an #IndigenousMastodon user from Aotearoa (New Zealand), #maori. My whānau (family) and hapū are working hard to #LandBack within this capitalist world. We have crowdfunded 300k to buy back our whenua (land) and working out plans once we do get some whenua on our ancestral land.
