       Part of my job is developing and managing a large cluster of SMTP servers. I am going to donate free SMTP services to any Mastodon instance that wants it. You'll simply give us your Mastodon instance URL so we can verify it, and then you'll be able to plug in the credentials for the SMTP service and it will just work. You'll have access to our corporate management and statistic tools as well.There won't be a cap and the rate limit is so high you should not be hitting it (1000/s)Servers that promote violence are not eligible. Adult content is okay as long as it is consenting.I hope to have this available before the end of the year. Comment and let me know if you are interested.

       @yes One of the major roadblocks to launching an instance is the cost of using an SMTP service. Getting that for free is one less hurdle for people. I really want to see Mastodon succeed.

       @yes I Googled that, I believe that's a relay for hosting an SMTP server on a home network that has port 25 blocked.What I am offering is a full scale MTA that a business would use to serve transactional emails.
