       And I can't remember which instance I was looking at earlier today but it was chock full of regular people. Like I'm pretty sure I saw someone's granny, and not like 'fandom old' but 'someone's nana off facebook' and I'm sorry but if facebook nana can figure out Mastodon I don't know what to tell the twitter reply dudes except for maybe they're just too dumb to get it.

       So we've got an instance full of journos and a crap ton of regular joes and facebook nana...Is this actually happening? I mean I've heard the numbers, the fediverse has blown up in the last week. But that was just numbers.It's not till you see the real people and the changing demographics that it really hits home.

       Like, can you imagine hundreds of journos and boomer uncles and facebook nana all getting off twitter and moving to tumblr? Cohost? Some other weird niche social media entity? No, its laughable.Like if you'd asked me I would have said they'd all go to Facebook or LinkedIn or some shit.But they're moving to Mastodon. MASTODON FFS.
