       i always found microblogging to be a special kind of journaling - somewhat exhibitionist with a diary readable and writable by friends and strangers. the #twittermigration now creates a hard rupture in this life log. i wish there was a way to accommodate the past over there and connect it with the future here. the backup of tweets downloaded from birdsite is a good start, but having it just sitting there feels like a box in the basement with photos and letters from a previous life…

       @nrchtct Some years ago, I simply put the data export on my server (https://2-blog.net/tweets/). I plan to do the same with the new one, but have to remove the private info first.
