i always found microblogging to be a special kind of journaling - somewhat exhibitionist with a diary readable and writable by friends and strangers. the #twittermigration now creates a hard rupture in this life log. i wish there was a way to accommodate the past over there and connect it with the future here. the backup of tweets downloaded from birdsite is a good start, but having it just sitting there feels like a box in the basement with photos and letters from a previous life…
