In more recent years neurodiverse tw!tter helped me find my identity, voice and understanding of self. I gained confidence in openly identifying as #neurodivergent, connecting with others who validated and reflected my experiences. My immediate social (or lack of) context makes that impossible. It gave me access to community, helped me connect with others like me, because IRL there is limited #neurodiversity and I am alone with it most of the time.

@jenI've had the same experience here. Searching on tags like #neurodiversity #ADHD and #ActuallyAustustic are a good way to find our people, and there's a *lot* of us here. Curiously, as I learned more here about neurodiversity, I realize I have been inadvertantly building community with other neurodivergent folks since I was at school.
