Someone at work asked me how old I was the other day and I started to say thirty… before realising I was now in my forties. Even then, I went to say forty before remembering I’d turned forty one recently 🤣

@autumn @alan 10p Sounds better than it probably is.My neighbour was 99 and 3/4 when she died.Her knees bent inward, she struggled to walk, couldnt hear or see very well, but mentally as sharp as a knife.The number of whisky drinking, tobacco chewing centenarian matriarchs are few and far between I think

@stannard @alan my grandmother had trouble with her memory, but she went on daily walks up until the last year or two of her ~97 years. that’s basically what i aspire to!

@alan @autumn When you get older the balance of invitations changes from weddings to funerals.But you get fed at both, so it isnt all bad !
