A lot of the imagery I produce is clearly for sighted people, so it was hard to say what blind people would or could get out of it. How can I explain my pictures?!But the answer is STORY.Don't fuss over the visual details "red hair" "left/right" etc. Tell what's going on. It's like going from animation to audiodrama.        [...]What's great about that is that it doesn't JUST give help to blind people. It also helps people who aren't familiar with your visual medium, characters, or settings.Also -- ha ha -- you actually have MORE ROOM in the caption than you do in your post (at least on mastodon.art), so you can stick in bonus OMAKE content that you had to cut to get your post down to 500 characters!Which also means you can WRITE OUT abbreviated text (which has to be better for screen readers, too).
