       #introduction I'm an elder millennial that did some time in the early dotcom industry and I have the disillusionment to prove it. In my heart, I work for social change; it's rarely been lucrative but I don't need much to get by. I view things like technology as a tool, and much like a hammer you can build a house or bludgeon someone to death (or both if you have the time).My toots may be as diverse as my interests - think politics and technology to shitposting and memes.1/x

       #introduction I live off-grid in an area that was once rich in counter-culture ideals but most of those have died away and been replaced with status quo capitalism. Being forced to slow down, and being more conscious about the day-to-day ways I (do or don't) participate in society has been a huge boon for my mental health. It's definitely not for everyone - sure, life is a little harder sometimes but life's hard no matter what, at least I've chosen my poison. 2/x

       #introduction These days I'm working as a labor organizer with healthcare workers; it is by far the most fulfilling and most stressful work I've done. This is an exciting time for the US #labor movement and it gives me some hope for the future and younger people. But we have to end the prevalent attitude of being an outsider looking in when it comes to the #workingclass and foster #solidarity.hmu if you want to talk organizing, questions about workers' rights, or any labor related stuff.3/x

       @PopeSlacksalot Oh this brings up memories for me. I help organize the IT workers in California into the SEIU and the with about six others bargained the contract.It was rewarding to fight for all that but stressful AF.
