       @thelinuxEXP I'd say so long as things remain as they are, namely that no single company is allowed to do something to the detriment of others, it is fine. Apart from that, there isn't harm from getting corporate help so long as it mutually beneficial

       @mrscientific @thelinuxEXP The only issue I might have is that they might decide directions and build momentum for stuff that might not be beneficial in the long turn. Thinking of stuff like systemd although I like it.. Android is another..

       @shellkr @thelinuxEXP I think a lot of kernel forks would come out if that happened. And at least the reputable distros will likely remove harmful patches.
