It's gotten to the point where it's so common, it doesn't even make the front pages or bigger headlines anymore).The other day, I was searching for something, came across an article and on the right sidebar, there was a link to an article reporting on another shooting that happened that day (or the day before, can't remember which) and my stomach dropped again. This is a country where every citizen has the right to bear arms, it's in the constitution, second amendment.I dunno, if I was visiting over there and received death and rape threats, I'd certainly let anyone that offered it to protect me. @blingring @MandyJane @HebrideanHecate @Ladyfat @NightCrow @babayagasbanshee I think the declining donations have to do with lots of things, namely that the owners don't seem to care much about it anymore (it is neglected, obviously and it feels like Spin is an afterthought to them, we never get answers anymore to our concerns or techy support questions - maybe only a few of us are considered seriously when we ask for help), users are not kept in the loop of what is going on, one of the admins pushed for a radfem/tranny alliance (when that blew up in her face, she claimed it was a joke but on Twitter it seemed real), and so on. Every single time I've thought of donating a little bit of cash, there's always something that happens that makes me rethink this (it's happened so many times, I really don't know where to begin).I've talked about Spinster to lots and lots of people on other platforms like Instagram and Tumblr but each time I've been told politely that *it isn't my kind of place*. Now that I've been banned on both places, I'm concentrating my activity on Spin but I've seen the place grow quieter and quieter. I'm on MeWe but all the contacts I have there are members here.So, I dunno... I only know one thing. I miss @LangCleg like crazy.

Once or twice in comments on some of my pals' posts I got in an argument or two with the trannies who try to derail posts like only they can. You know the type? You talk about woman stuff and then a Frankenweenie or a TRA crashes in the comments *what about transw*men? that isn't very inclusive blahblahblah*. One thing, even though I was always civil and posted facts and links to articles, on Tumblr I had quite the nasty messages. I used the same username on Tumblr and Instagram. Maybe a bunch of those zombies mass reported me because they recognized my username on both places? Can't remember if I was banned on Insta first and then Tumblr or the other way around but it was within weeks of each other.

I keep thinking that if I win the grand prize at the lottery, I'd buy Spinster off of them, hire a real moderating team throw one out (guess who?) and get it up and running on something decent hardware wise, have a top-notch woman coder (or women coders). Some in here would leave prolly cuz I'm not everyone's cuppa but well you know...

So in a way, it's a very good thing
