@fitheach I'm having a hard enough time explaining to people that Mastodon isn't one server run by one owner but thousands of them run by different people with different rules that talk amongst each other. It's even harder when trying to do it in a foreign language but it's good practice for me

@trebach To be fair, Twitter isn't one server either.I think email is a good analogy to help explain Fedi.Understanding anything about computing must be much more difficult if English isn't one's native tongue.

@crazy1ady I'm not even sure if there are other Mastodon instances focusing on Scottish users. I'm just seeing a lot of activity from mastodon.scot. Is Norwegian Mastodon/Fedi concentrated on one instance?
