We need decentralised, censorship resistant, open social media protocols yesterday!Having to trust that those running a platform are pro freedom of speech & not compromised by the state is not the solution. @Evillarry sure, I love fediverse, I just don't think the federated model is ever going to get widespread adoption. Running your own mastodon server is only for the tech savvy and is time consuming so for most people the only option is to join someone elses server and to trust them with the data. Apps using nostr protocol will potentially reduce this friction making it simple to join the network without having to decide who to trust.
