       @james Nice! Is there some shared community funding you’re preparing? I can’t really judge yet how much it costs to run and operate a Mastodon. Would you say it’s similar to hosting a Discourse?

       @michiels yeah, we have had a Patreon since the start: https://patreon.com/rubysocialI wouldn't say it's hugely expensive (yet!), but I'd say it's probably a bit more expensive than hosting Discourse -- the costs will steadily increase in line with the more users we get (see https://ruby.social/@james/109082197815882471)
