       @idanoo right?? I can't help but feel peeps (who say it is a superpower) going down in my estimation. I really liked them, until they said that. Same for the peeps who say, "we're all on the Spectrum" 🤢

"We all get depressed" infuriates me for exactly the same reason. They wouldn't go up to a blind person and say "we all have problems with our vision". Why do they think it's ok to do it with mental illnesses and neurological disabilities?@idanoo

       @Kirstie ADHD is not a superpower, for sure, it's a challenging lifelong disability that is frustratingly hard to get taken seriously. I got diagnosed when I was young, but I can't even get an appointment with a specialist in the public system, so I can get support as an adult.@idanoo

       @KirstieBut having recognized that, I do find it helpful to reframe some of the characteristics of ADHD, like hyperfocus, as potential superpowers. Having lazers coming out of ones eyes can cause all manner of woes. But if one can learn strategies for making use of it ...@idanoo

       @strypey Im sorry, that sucks. I was dx last year, 46yo. I suspect #menopause exacerbated the issue. Im fortunate enough to have medication. It (public health system) needs to change.

       @KirstieGlad to hear you're getting the support you deserve. The system certainly does need to change. I take heart from knowing Chloe is in our corner. Using up an hour of psychiatrist time every 2 years to confirm ADHD hasn't magically gone away, for each of thousands of ADHD patients, is an impressively wasteful use of limited  mental health resources.
