my opinion about finding a partner on fedi is that you would meet a good person compared to those whom you would find on appsbut the downside is that it usually takes time (like 4~6 years :char_nachoneko_baa:)

@mametsuko It's like finding a relationship through friends. Sometimes it takes a while, but the people involved learn more about each others personalities beforehand so you get a better compatibility than just dating right off the bat with a blank slate.

@mametsuko@mk.absturztau.be I think the problem with dating apps is that the number one mutual interest people on them have is being desperate enough to use a dating app, and people are trying to make something happen without the depth of an existing friendship. so, I think that expanding friendships is more important than specifically doing anything with the specific intention of finding a relationship, so fedi is okay for that I think
