## Morning Mastodonians!Despite the glorious Autumn weather, I did absolutely nothing interesting. Continued my efforts, albeit at a snail's pace, to get the house and yard ready for snow. I really need to clean the garage, so I can fit the car into it. I only garage it when there is a threat of snow, as cleaning off a minivan can take forever. The pre-winter garage cleaning always takes forever though. Amazing how much junk can stack up during the summer.

It was a good weekend for Boston sports anyway. The Bruins sure look good, hammering the Blue Jackets on Friday night. And they still don't have McAvoy back yet and Marchand didn't even play. And while you could hardly say the Patriots looked good, a win is a win, even if it was more a case of the Jets shooting themselves in the foot. Again. Still, pretty solid effort.

I'm hoping to watch a scary movie with R tonight. Last year, we didn't get a single trick or treater. We live at the end of a short cul de sac and most groups just pass it by. I don't mind because the dogs will lose their minds every visitor. My daughters used to bring home sooo much candy. We literally had it for the entire year. We would hide most of it and dole it out slowly.

Confusion rages in the salt mine, as the UK "fell back" yesterday, while the US doesn't until next weekend. So depending on who scheduled the meeting, some meetings are happening later and others haven't moved, so all kinds of clashes. If it were up to me, I would just cancel the whole lot of them. Add in "sprint" planning, and my day promises to suck. I can hardly wait.

@jdarnold Time change is a remarkably dumb idea. Like changing the value of the dollar to 105¢ between November and March to compensate for shorter hours of work in the winter.

@publius I know, right? There has been a move afoot to bring all of New England into the Atlantic time zone and just let it be, but it hasn't happened yet. A few states have passed laws that said when everyone has, we'll do it, but Mass is not one of those
