       @Bad_Banner @WoodshopHandman @TurboNormie for grilled cheese specifically I really just like kraft american. nothing else I've tried really melts the same way, including other brands of american cheesehowever I have made them with swiss, provolone, and cheddar and they were still good

       @deprecated_ii @Bad_Banner @WoodshopHandman You’ll likely draw the ire of the GOYSLOP! crowd but American processed cheese is the way to go for the classic grilled cheese. You can make a fully farm-to-table “grilled cheese” on home baked bread but it’s not the same thing. A good grilled cheese is like a good hot dog, you just have to lean into the reality of what the ingredients are. Shoot for quality but within the context of a processed product.

Add a teeny but of garlic powder inside then heavily butter the outside of the bread. Serve with tomato soup (add paprika for some zing). Bazinga.
