       @nameredacted @Balzarharry I can see how it could be justified for butchers and bakers but hardly any non-luxury grocers bother to actually butcher carcasses or bake from scratch on-site anymore.

       @deprecated_ii @Bad_Banner @WoodshopHandman You’ll likely draw the ire of the GOYSLOP! crowd but American processed cheese is the way to go for the classic grilled cheese. You can make a fully farm-to-table “grilled cheese” on home baked bread but it’s not the same thing. A good grilled cheese is like a good hot dog, you just have to lean into the reality of what the ingredients are. Shoot for quality but within the context of a processed product.

Add a teeny but of garlic powder inside then heavily butter the outside of the bread. Serve with tomato soup (add paprika for some zing). Bazinga.

       @Shadowman311 Are they even that overrepresented in medicine anymore? My impression is that is mostly a boomer jew thing as the increasingly insane time and effort requirements to become a doctor have pushed the younger generations elsewhere.
