@Kinochet For once in history reddit might be the best option since they have subforums for types of animals that are basically just species ID request hubs:old.reddit.com/r/Amphibians/

@Kinochet @Haru Also, it might be prudent to reverse image search it just in case Neigh just grabbed a random pic off the web.

@ChudBud @Kinochet Just now I did reverse image searches through both Google and TinEye. The former gave me only results from "Mantsu" and Ethan's tweets and the latter gave me no results. I think it's original, but there are ways of subverting reverse image searches so it's impossible to be sure.

@Kinochet So many frogs look alike. It could be the California Chorus. Found mostly in souther California and Baja Mexico https://www.herpmapper.org/record/19773

@Kinochet after going through californiaherps.com/allfrogs2.html I'm certain the frog in that picture is some sort of tree frog that most closely resembles the baja california or cuban entries.

You can see the matching pattern on the legs (the other small splotches likely not visible in shit lighting), the yellow highlights on the shoulders, the dark line down the side, and the shallow crease on the back. This means it probably is the southern toad. Who's range is shown in red. The range indicates a certain herpetologist might be temporarily back in the states. Also lol that Neigh can't tell the difference between a frog and toad.
